About Yomm

This idea wanted to exist.

Our first attempt to bring it to life was in 2015, when we built a first version that was much bigger in scope and far more ambitious. We released it, and it ran for a while, but it didn’t survive: it was full of exotic bugs, and we didn’t really know what we were doing.

After that, the story slept for a long time. Our kids were born, and life went on. But a few years ago, Józsi started thinking about how the core interaction could be made a little simpler. He made a few designs, then went looking for a developer.

That’s more or less how it started. In the summer of 2026, Józsi got in touch with Janó. They sat down at the Indian restaurant on Jókai utca in Budapest, and he asked: what if we gave Yomm one more try, as an encore?

By then, a working prototype was ready, but it still needed Secret Yomms and so many little things.

We hope it will be a useful app for you too. It has already gotten us out of a tight spot once or twice.

There’s something to it: often, just thinking of someone is enough.
